What is ENUM?
ENUM or electronic numbers is the name of a protocol that resolves fully qualified telephone numbers to fully qualified domain name addresses using a DNS-based architecture. It is the name of a chartered working group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) chartered to develop protocols that map telephone numbers to resources found on the Internet using the Domain Name System. The name ENUM is dubbed by a Swedish engineer and is now rapidly spreading.

 What are Mobile domains?
In the near future everybody will carry a cellular phone. The cellular phone is the first gadget that in a sense really is a part of a person's identity. Still, we continue to use digits to make calls and contact people. Mobile domains and smart telephony will change that. The vision is to assign a domain name to each existing cellular phone (and individual). When you make a call in the future you will use a name rather than a number. You may also use the mobile domain as your unique signature when you shop (a domain name is impossible to duplicate).

 What is ST?
ST (Smart Telephony, trade mark protected) is an open source concept developed by KN Telecom. ST is an existing country code top-level-domain which we have embedded with new information. ST is in that sense the world's first global mobile domain. The beauty of it is that we do not invent a new standard - but we use an already existing global DNS standard, and broaden its tasks to new areas. This way we can immediately implement and embed ENUM features without delay. Furthermore, the engine we have developed for Smart Telephony™ is possible to implement on any top-level-domain. It's not a proprietary technology!
